We spent Halloween evening with our good friends, the Abbiss family. Here is a run down of our night:
4 pm - Our first stop, the Rudd Community Center. They had an indoor carnival set-up there with candy prizes for all participants.
5 pm - Next, we hopped in the van and made our way to the Trinity Church Halloween Carnival. There the kids got their faces painted, bounced around in inflatable castles, partook of free hot dogs and soda, played more carnival games and received more candy.
6 pm - Finally, we made it to our own 4-ward Trunk-or-Treat. We ran into lots of friends. And enjoyed the best kettle corn I have ever eaten! And the girls received even more candy.
Grammy and Granddad surprised us tonight! They drove all the way out here, after their ward Halloween party, in their costumes. The girls loved it! Avalyn and Briley put their costumes on too, so they could join in the fun. Soo fun!
So I just thought that I would throw in this photo of Shallon. She wasn't cooperating with the whole costume thing. But she loves to write laying on her tummy. She kept stealing the score pad during our game of Wizards.
I love playgroup! Probably more than my kids do. It's totally my time to have real grown-up adult conversations with other moms. I love the group of moms that come to playgroup.
Playgroup Moms- Thank you soo much for keeping me sane by coming on a regular basis.
There are actually even more moms that come regularly to playgroup. I wish that they could have been there the day we took this picture.
ps. I thought that I should probably throw in a couple photos of the girls enjoying playgroup, too!
Greg joined a co-ed softball league this year. He plays on a team called "Hit N Miss", pretty clever, huh? His team mainly consists of teachers, I think. He has been having a lot of fun. And of course he is playing a sport so he couldn't be happier!! The girls and I try to make it to most of his games, but it is always a double header. We usually do pretty well during the first game and then it's all down hill from there. The following photos are of me and the girls trying to entertain ourselves during the second game.
If you live in Pahrump, have you eaten at Wulfy's?? We love it! The food is good and the entertainment is even better! They have arcade-style bowling lanes. That not only keep my girls entertain, but keeps my husband entertained (much more important, don't you think?), and only costs a dollar! We love to eat here with our friends! If you haven't eaten here, you need to try it. And if you decide to try it, you should call us because we like to eat here! "Meet me at Wulfy's!" (that's their tag line, incase you were wondering.)
Briley (aka Little Mommy) offered to help me feed Shallon her yogurt. This is the scene that I witnessed. Of course, by the time I got the camera ready Shallon was pretty much done eating. Oh well, it was still pretty cute!
So this month I am neither the teacher nor the helper (sigh of relief). I did hang around the first couple of days just to help keep the ball rolling, which was completely unnecessary. Which is why I was able to take all these cute pictures are of my own kids. I love preschool!
