Shallon turned 3!!! She thinks that she is sooo big now, it's so cute. Unfortunately she thought that she was starting Kindergarten after her birthday. It was quite a shock when we pulled up to Miss Ruth's house for preschool. For her birthday, I think that she got everything Dora that she could ever want! And she LOVED all of it, especially her Dora backpack...backpack! She had a Dora-themed friend party, where her favorite game was pin the tail on the Swiper. If you can't tell Shallon REALLY likes Dora!

Shallon's new 'do

Sooo... I decided to chop off Shallon's hair! It's been a long time coming. If you don't know, Shallon is a thumb-sucker. Which is sooooo cute, except that she plays with (pulls out) her hair while she sucks her thumb. She sucks her left thumb, so the hair on the right side of her head is significantly shorter and thinner than the left side. It is sooooo frustrating!!! Anyways, so today we evened it out a bit. Hopefully she will stop playing with her hair and then we can grow it out again. But I do think that her new haircut looks pretty darn cute!

I have been taking pictures at all of Avalyn's soccer games and sometimes even at practice, so get ready for some soccer overload!

Shallon's 1st day of Preschool

Shallon started the co-op preschool this year. She is such a petite little girl, she seems soooo small compared to all the other kids in the preschool this year. She has been very excited to "grow up" and go to school like her sisters.

Tason's nose...

Just an update on Tason's nose: As you can see it's still a little swollen and bruised. But the swelling has gone down a lot, his fat lip is totally gone and all the cuts and scrapes have healed up nicely. He's all smiles now and getting into things as usual!!!

1st sleepover friend

Avalyn really wanted a sleepover birthday party this year, but Greg and I thought she still might be a little young for that. So we compromised and let her have 1 friend sleepover and not on the same night as her party. She picked her really good friend, Sadee and everything went really well.
















In the morning the girls wanted to play in the sprinkler before Sadee had to go home. The girls were really good! So... they might just be able to do this again!

Briley's 1st day of Kindergarten

Briley was soooo excited to start Kindergarten and finally go to school with Avalyn and Daddy!!! Greg even drove the moped to school so that Briley could have that experience. Briley also got to celebrate her birthday, on her first day of school, with some cupcakes and a birthday crown!

Avalyn's 1st day of 2nd grade

Avalyn started 2nd grade at a new school this year, Mt. Charleston Elementary.  She has been a real trooper about switching schools this year.  She was pretty upset about leaving some of her friends, but being the social butterfly that she totally is, she is excited to make some new friends!


And this is what we did while she was at school...

After our fun day at the park, we headed over to the school for Briley's kindergarten testing.  Greg took the rest of the kids out to the playground while I filled out some paperwork and waited for Briley.  Tason fell off of one of the slides right on his face.  My poor BABY!!!! P.S. Don't worry - he's just sleeping in the photos.

The first game...

...was a WIN!!! Against a boy's team even!  Avalyn was our little throw-in superstar, getting it past the boys and right to her teammates.  Great Game!

I (heart) SOCCER!!!

Soccer season has started again! Avalyn moved up to the U-8 division this year, that means a slightly bigger field, score keeping and goalies.  At the first practice, Avalyn was very excited to see some familiar faces on the team this year!  It looks like we are going to have a fun season!
