Woodland Park Zoo, part 1

Of all the things that we did on vacation, we took the most pictures here at the zoo. So be prepared for picture overload and we will try to just pick a few of our favorites.

On a side note, I (Amber) am not a big fan of scenery pictures. I like snap-shots of loved ones, so you won't see any animal pictures. Just pictures of my family looking at the animals. And if the animals actually make it into the shot then great, but if they don't, oh well. I hope that you don't mind zoo pictures without animals.

We went to the zoo with Amber's brother, Matthew, and his family. They have season passes, so we got in for half-price! And we stayed for like 5+ hours, so we definitely got our money's worth.

Just some pictures of all my hard work!!! And let me tell you it is HARD work getting the girls hair to look like this! But well worth it for a final product like this (someday the girls will agree with me , right?!?!)...





























No after pictures of Shallon, probably because she fell asleep with her hair still up. Not the most comfortable hairstyle for sleeping that's for sure!

In the car again...

Ok, we have been in the car a lot this vacation. Luckily our girls can sleep anywhere (we have trained them well)! :) Here's a great example; our sweet Briley catching a little nap in the car while we are out and about.

Snuggle-bugs

This is how we found our girls are spending their Saturday morning . . . all snuggled up together in Briley's bed, reading books. Could they be any cuter?!

Mis-Match!!!

I love that Greg and Avalyn get to do all these fun school things together!! These are pictures from Mis-Match Day. Both Greg and Avalyn had a lot of fun picking out their crazy outfits!!! And of course I had to make a scrapbook page of it. :)

Just a cute scrapbook page that I made of Shallon. This is an example of about how many pictures that we have to take of Shallon to get one good one. She is kind-of a stinker when it comes to getting her picture taken. Unlike her sister Avalyn who starts model posing as soon as she sees the camera come out.

bye-bye Kindergarten

Avalyn's Kindergarten year has come to an end. It doesn't feel like she's old enough to go to a full day of school quite yet! Thankfully we have all summer to prepare for that transition.

Avalyn had a great Kindergarten year. She got to ride to school every morning with her daddy, on the moped!!! She loved her teacher, Mrs. Dean! She made some really great friends! And she has come a long way with her reading skills. She's great about sounding out words when she gets to one she doesn't know! And she tries to read anything and everything that has words on it. We are sooo proud of her!!!

Memorial Day

We spent our Memorial Day: swimming in our new kiddie pool, playing Guitar Hero, barbequeing with our friends, playing around outside and finally ending our day with a photo-shoot (for scrapbooking purposes). We had a really fun day and hopefully this is just the start of many more to come this summer!!!
