Game on!

The girls recently started saying "game on," I don't know where they picked it up, but it's pretty cute and appropriate for this blog post because...

Avalyn had her first soccer game today! And she is quite the soccer star (of course we're not bias or anything). She scored 3 of her team's 4 goals and the 4th goal was scored by the other team on themselves. Avalyn is very good at going after the ball and turning it around when it's going the wrong way. But most importantly she is having a blast!!! Go Pinkalicious!

the birthday ROCKSTARS!!!

This year Avalyn and Briley had a Rockstar Birthday Party! The girls are really into dancing and singing, so it was the perfect theme! They had star cakes and custom-made "concert" tees! And they played freeze dance and karaoke. The girls had soooo much fun!

Just a little video of the "concert"!!!

First Grade!!!

Our big girl started first grade this year! Soo crazy, I don't know how she got so grown-up sooo fast, but it would be nice if she would slow down just a little bit! Avalyn had a great first day in Mrs. True's class! She told us that her favorite parts were getting to eat lunch at school with her friends, playing on the big playground at recess and writing stories for Writer's Workshop!!! Hopefully the joys of first grade don't wear off too quickly and she continues to love going to school. :)

last days of summer...

Before Avalyn has to go back to school, we decided to get the kiddie pool out again to take advantage of her last few days of summer. The girls have been loving it and have gone "swimming" about 3 times a day since we got it back out. This summer sure flew by, but it always seems to.

33 weeks

Ok, here's the belly shot, I am at 33 weeks now. I feel HUGE, so you probably won't see any more of these. :) Nothing else really to update, I still have a little ways to go. But we are all very excited to welcome a little boy into our family!

ps. Avalyn took this picture, didn't she do a great job?

Circus Circus

On our last day of summer before Greg had to go back to work, we decided to spend it at Circus Circus. The kids had soooo much fun, including the biggest one! I think we ended up staying there for about 5 hours! But it was worth it for the smile on ALL of their faces!!! (sorry in advance for the overload of photos, but I really like photos)

cute shorter hair

The girls have been bugging me for quite some time now to cut their hair (they HATE it when I have to brush out all the tangles). But I just LOVE long hair, so I always said no. Until today...

I'm blaming the pregnancy for my temporary insanity. I do think that the girls look very cute with their new looks, but I still love long hair. So they are growing it back out, starting now. :) On the plus side they definitely have less tangles, which is why they wanted their hair cut in the first place. So hairstyling has become much less time consuming.

Soccer!!!

Avalyn had her first soccer practice today. She's been wanting to play soccer for a while now, so today was a pretty exciting day for her. Even though it was really hot out, she had a blast running around kicking the ball! On the way home she was already asking me when the next time she gets to play soccer. Hopefully she stays this excited about it, then we should have a good season! : )

Kids Workshop...

at Home Depot (a fun thing to do in Pahrump)! So now that I've found this fun little activity for the kids, I plan to take full advantage. The first Saturday of every month Home Depot puts on a FREE Kids Workshop. We went to our first one today and the girls loved it and they were so proud of their message boards! They wanted to hang them up as soon as they got home, but I thought that we should paint them and think about a good place to hang them first (I know, I'm such a lame mom). We finally did get around to painting them a few days later and the girls got to hang their message boards in their room. We can't wait to see what the project will be next month!
