Family Pictures

We wanted a current family photo for our Christmas cards this year.
This is the one that we went with.

This one was the runner-up.

Autumn Leaves

The day that we had our family photos taken, Briley was a little distracted by all the leaves. In between photos, she was running around throwing leaves over her head like it was a big party!

She was smiling the whole time (except when it was family picture time of course).

Santa, baby!

At our ward Christmas party, the girls had a chance to see Santa and sit on his lap.
Avalyn told Santa that she wanted a "pink car with purple keys" (and the search began).

And Briley didn't cry!!!

26.

Happy Birthday to mommy!
Greg made me birthday brownies and we used the left over decorations from the girls' birthday party in August. It was a good birthday.

Rock Collecting

The girls love collecting rocks around our apartment. And with no sidewalks or pavement to be seen, there is a never-ending supply of rocks.

Fall Festival

This was our first Fall Festival here in Pahrump. It was soo much fun. We went on Thursday, family night, because they had discount kids tickets. We went with our new friends Isaac, Erin and Alison Parsons. Avalyn loved having a buddy to go on all the rides with. And the carnival workers let Briley ride on all the rides without a ticket, she had a blast being just like her big sister. We went again on Saturday night, but it wasn't nearly as fun, it was really crowded. On Thursday we didn't even have to wait in line to get on any of the rides.
Avie and Ali, best friends forever.

I love this sunset picture, the girls just had soo much fun!

Getting Pushed Around.

The girls were taking turns pushing each other around in the doll stroller.

Even though Briley can't walk by herself yet, when she has something to hold onto she can really cruise. She can even push her big sister around.

Briley Stands Alone.

Briley stood, without holding onto anything, for the first time today.

Greg was distracting her with popcorn.

Avie's 1st Day of Preschool

Avalyn started preschool today. We are in a home-school preschool group, it's similar to Joy School, but with a different curriculum. We rotate mom's teaching and whoever is teaching school does it at their home. I get to teach 3 times this school year; in November, February and May.

Greg's First Day of School

So, it's official we are Grown-ups! Greg started teaching today at JG Johnson Elementary School here in Pahrump, Nevada. We are no longer college kids (until Greg goes back for his Master's). We've got the career, now all we need is the minivan, the dog (a very small one, that doesn't shed or bark too much) and the house then we'd be set.

We live close enough to the school that Greg can ride his bike (that means I get the car all day, too bad there's no where to go in this two stoplight town).
