Pacific Science Center

Our outing to the Pacific Science Center in Seattle...

As soon as we walked into the butterfly exhibit, a butterfly landed on my stomach.

Olympic Party

While we are in Washington, we went to my cousin Madison's birthday party. She had an Olympic theme party. So there were some fun games to play.

There was a bubblegum blowing contest.

There was this great, big tree near our picnic area that the kids liked to play on. Here's Avalyn playing on the climbing tree.

And here's Greg climbing the same tree, after he got a ball stuck up in the branches. ALL the kids liked to play on the tree.

And then there's Briley pigging out on anything she can get her hands on.

Steele Family Reunion

It has been more than 6 years since my whole family, on my mom's side, has been all together.

New Quad

Our friends, the Sproul's, gave this quad to the girls yesterday. As you can see by their perma-grins, the girls couldn't have been happier.

More 1st of July celebrating...

Happy 1st of July!

So most everyone in America, will be celebrating the 4th of July on Wednesday the 4th, but not Pahrump, NV. Nope, we do things a little different here, we are celebrating the 4th of July today, the 1st of July. I have thought, since we moved here, that Pahrump was a little different, maybe even a little backwards, and now I have proof. So tonight we will be heading down to the park to watch the firework show. Which if it's anything like last year (Pahrump celebrated on the 2nd last year), it will be a pretty amazing show.

Feeding the Ducks

We went to feed the ducks today. Greg noticed that the hamburger buns that we bought earlier this month were getting pretty hard. Yucky for us, yummy for ducks, right? Only Briley didn't quite understand that the bread was for the ducks. She was pretty good at tearing off a piece for the ducks, but then she would eat a piece for herself.

Hockey

Greg started playing on an indoor hockey league this summer. His team is called the Sharks. The girls and I really enjoy going to his games every Tuesday night.
Here are some shots of Greg in action. Greg scored in the last couple seconds, a game tying goal for his team, sending it into a 3 man shoot-out (his team won).

And here's Briley trying to pick out daddy from the 4 other guys on the rink that are dressed exactly like him.

Summer Time

Living here in the desert, it gets pretty hot, like in the 100's. So, Greg and I bought the girls (and ourselves) a little pool for the backyard, to help us try and cool off a little. We've been hanging out there everyday since we got the pool. We usually go out as soon as we are done with breakfast and we stay out there until lunch time. We should all have pretty decent tans by the end of the summer.

Dunk Tank

Today was field day at Greg's school, the assistant principal rented a dunk tank and the kids got to try and dunk their teachers. Greg got dunked a lot, future MLB players?? Avalyn, Briley and I went over to the school to watch. The girls each got a turn to dunk dad, they just went up and pushed the button.
Greg made silly faces at the window every time he got dunked. Here's Avalyn dunking daddy.
And here's Briley's turn to dunk daddy.
