snuggles and kisses
Tason snuggling up next to Shallon. And Shallon cooperating with some sweet kisses for her baby brother.

napping...
Ok, so you know you have a newborn, when you have like 50 pictures on your camera and they're all of the baby sleeping (in different outfits, of course)!
So, here's the first of many posts of a sleeping Tason. But don't let that fool you, he is only sleeping while being photographed. The rest of the time he's eating or fussing to let me know that he wants to eat, or fussing because silly mommy thought that she could set him down since he fell asleep while he was eating when really she should have known better!!! :)

good clean fun!
Tason's first sponge bath, minus the sponge, so it was really a washcloth bath. He slept almost the entire wash down. I love the first week when new babies just sleep, all the time. All that sleeping is just to lull new moms into a false sense of security, then the sleepless nights begin...

no more hospital...
Yay, Granddad!!! He was able to capture the first thumb-sucking shot of Tason (while Tason was trapped in the NICU).

After our not-so-fun stay at the hospital, Tason and I were finally released today. Since it was already kind of late we decided to head over to Grammy and Granddad's for the night.
I love how tiny newborns look in their giant carseats!!

The girls had a nice little reunion with their baby brother (they hadn't been able to hold him while he was in the NICU).
I didn't get a good shot of it, but Tason's onesie says, "worth the wait" and he definitely was. We are sooo happy to have him finally join our family.

8 lbs 13 ozs, 20 1/4 ins
We were scheduled for an induction at 8:30am this morning. But at 3:30am I woke up with pretty strong contractions. I tried to go back to sleep, but I ended up waking up about every 12 mins with another contraction. So, at about 4:30am, I decided to try and get up and move around to see if the contractions would stop. I hopped in the shower and the contractions only got stronger and closer together. I woke Greg up and we gathered our stuff together and left for the hospital. Luckily this time we were already in Vegas and it was only a 10 min ride down the highway. We got to the hospital at 6am and when the nurse checked me, I was already dilated 5 cm. I got my epidural at 7am and Tason was born at 8:30am (which was the same time that I was scheduled for induction).

the parade
We love the Fall Festival parade. We wake up early, get our good spot in front of the grassy area at Terrible's, then Greg runs over to McDonald's to get us some yummy breakfast!!! Finally, we settle in for some interesting floats and TONS of candy! On a side note; when the firetrucks and police cars went by with all of their sirens on, the baby (still in my tummy) totally went crazy kicking and moving around, it was sooo weird!!

first ballet performance
In the video, Briley is in the second column from the side the teacher is on, in the back row. She's hard to see for most of the video, but every now and then she steps away from the girl in front of her and then you can see her.
What a great sneak peek for the Spring Recital!!!

Happy Birthday Shallon!!!!
Shallon turned 2 today. We had a little family party at home. Shallon was very excited to open her presents. Especially after watching her older sisters open presents just 3 weeks earlier. Her favorite present, if you can't tell by the picture, was a Dora plate set. I'm soooo glad that I caught her reaction! After presents we had a little birthday ice cream.
I can't believe my little baby is already 2. Now I'm really ready to have our baby boy come!!! :)

1st day of preschool
Briley has been asking me everyday, since the preschool meet-n-greet at the park, if today is a preschool day! And finally, the first preschool day has arrived!!! I don't think that she could have been more excited when I told her that "Yes, today is a preschool day!" Wouldn't it be nice if our kids are always this excited about school?!

preschool meet-n-greet
This will be Briley's second year of preschool, and my fourth year. This morning was our opening get together at the park. The moms (teachers) received our "information packets" and the kids (students) got to meet one another and play together. This year there are 4 girls and 4 boys. Last year Briley was the only girl with 7 boys. It should be fun to have some more girls around this year!
We had a really fun day today and I think this is going to be a really fun year!

Little Ballerina
Now we just have to grow her hair back out, so that it's long enough to put in a bun for the Spring recital.
