some Christmas fun
So I thought that it would be fun to make some Christmas decorations with the girls. We decided to make Cheerio garland for the tree and paper snowflakes for our kitchen cupboards. After about 10 Cheerios each (ok maybe 15) the girls were done with that project. In the middle picture, you can see that box is a little less than half full, I had to use all of it to finish the garland. Yes, I finished it. It only took me about 3 hours to do it alone, if the girls had continued to help, it probably would have taken even longer.

Black Friday...
also known as Girl's Day Out!!!
Natalie, Jan, Lindsay and I went out and braved the crazed, holiday shoppers. Some of us even found some deals and were able to check off some people from our shopping list. Then we enjoyed a yummy lunch at Pick up Stix.
After that we treated ourselves to a movie, "Dan in Real Life," so cute. And the best part, we did all of this without kids!!!! (with the exception of Shallon, I took her on the shopping part of our day, then Greg came and picked her up before lunch and the movie) I love hanging out with my mother and sister in-laws.

Happy Thanksgiving!
We hope that everyone had a good Thanksgiving. We sure did! The entire Severts family all gathered together in Las Vagas this year. That makes Grammy and Granddad, the 5 boys, plus 3 sister-in-laws, and 6 grandkids! Soo fun!!
We actually had need of a kids table this year for the first time.

daddy's girls
This is what happens when daddy wishes he had boys and tries to roughhouse with the girls. The girls get soo excited, they team-up and just jump on him.
It looks like daddy's having fun at least.

Amber
I've been tagged by my friend Corina!
RULES:
1. List the link to your tagger and also post the following rules.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog - some random, some weird, whatever.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your blog also leaving the links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they are "tagged" by leaving a comment on their blog.
1. I am having a really hard time with this tag and I'm going to use this as a fact about me. I'm not interesting and I don't know what to say about myself. This tag is too open ended, if there were specific questions to answer it would be easier for me. Is it weird that I'm struggling with this? I'm going to get Greg to help me.
2. I love, love, love reading! Some of my favorite authors are Anita Stansfield, Stephenie Meyer, Dan Brown, Janet Evanovich, and John Grisham. If I didn't have any responsibilities (kids) I would read all day long and possibly all night (which I usually do).
3. I love food! Some of my favorite restaurants include Olive Garden, Cafe Rio, Red Lobster and La Fuente. This love of food makes it hard to stick to any diet that I try, which is why I am 20 lbs heavier than I would like to be. (I am hoping that posting this fact will help motivate me to lose the weight.)
4. My biggest pet peeve is talking animals. I discovered this dislike of talking animal while watching the movie "Fluke", and since then I cannot stand watching any movie (that is not animated) with talking animals. Animated movies are the exception. I especially do not like when the animals lips are moving like they are actually talking. In "Homeward Bound", where their lips are not moving is a little more bearable, but I still don't like it. I know I'm weird.
5. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1998, when I was 17. Thanks to my super amazing best friend, Kristin (Wall) Sargent.
6. I am married to my other best friend! And he is the most amazing husband, and father to our beautiful daughters. He is super patient; with me and with the girls (unfortunately we are constantly testing his patience). And he has this constant need for cleanliness and organization, that without him, the girls and I would be living in our own personal pig pen. I'll admit it; I'm a little messy.
7. I wish that we lived closer to my parents. I miss my mom soo much, she is my other best friend. I am very grateful that we live close to Greg's parents, I love them a lot! But I still miss my family. (and I miss all the green in Washington)
Ok so I guess that wasn't too painful. So now I'm going to tag:
1. Jackie Wagnon http://ericandjackiewagnon.blogspot.com/
2. Carolyn Wiberg http://www.wiberg5.blogspot.com/
3. Kristin Sargent http://supersargents.blogspot.com/
4. Natalie Severts http://www.severtsfam.blogspot.com/
5. Lindsay Severts http://rylindsseverts.blogspot.com/
6. Tamie Peterson http://petersonpartypage.blogspot.com/
7. Kym Peavoy http://www.bandkpeavoyfamily.blogspot.com/
If you have already done this tag, sorry just ignore that I tagged you, if not have fun. I'm excited to get to know you better, or remember the things that already I know about you. :)

girly girls
So I don't think anyone could ever mistake these two for tomboys. Avalyn and Briley are as girly as it gets. Playing dress-up isn't just a game to them, they want to stay dressed-up all day long. And who could blame them with cute skirts like these ones from great-grandma Kathy.
ps. I updated Shallon's Blessing Day post.

smiles
Our sweet baby Shallon has been giving us the cutest little grins lately. I don't even care if it's just gas. And of course when I try to capture it on film, I'm never quite quick enough to get the full, super cheesy smile. I'll keep trying though don't worry. :)

Shallon's Blessing Day
We blessed Shallon today.
Grammy, Granddad and uncle Sean came to Pahrump for her special day. Shallon did really well, she was only fussy while the guys were getting in place, once her daddy started talking she quieted right down.
Grammy does something really special for each of the girls on their blessing day. She writes down the whole blessing using shorthand, then she translates it and prints it out in a pretty font for the girl's scrapbooks. We are so lucky to have such a thoughtful Grammy.
So here are the Triplets! (just kidding)
The first one is Shallon's blessing picture. Next is Briley's blessing picture. And finally Avalyn's blessing picture. Yes, it's the same dress, Grammy bought it for Avalyn's blessing and I plan on all of my girls wearing it.
